I’ve been at LC when they used them and it backs everything up, creating serious foot traffic. Not to say that a little inconvenience isn’t worth the safety, but how much safer is this really? Who among us hasn’t managed to talk their way into the library, for instance, or just keep walking when the scanner wasn’t working? I can think of only one security alert I’ve gotten in the last two years that had anything to do with a security problem on campus. This seems like a total waste of my tuition money and a pain.
