A remix DJ, a pop-punk band and an indie-rock group will share the Martyrs’ Lawn stage on April 26 as they headline Fordham’s annual Spring Weekend Concert.
The Melker Project (a live remix and mashup act created by Scott Melker), Cartel (a Georgia-based pop band) and Cold War Kids (an indie rock band from Long Beach, CA) will perform this year, Fordham’s Campus Activities Board announced Monday afternoon — hours after The Fordham Ram reported that a singer from Cartel had confirmed they would perform on campus.
This is the first time in recent memory that the annual Spring Weekend Concert will be headlined by three acts. Last year’s concert broke ground when two acts shared the stage.

CAB also announced via video message that Max Joseph of MTV’s popular show “Catfish” would be on campus to kick off Spring Weekend and speak with students on Thursday, April 24. DJ Enferno will be hosting the party on A Lot Friday night.
Judah Friedlander of “30 Rock” will close out the weekend as the comedian guest.
Soon after CAB announced the Spring Weekend lineup, students took to social media to express both excitement and disappointment.
“Legitimately pumped to see Cold War Kids at Fordham next weekend,” wrote @bgd51694 on Twitter.
“Spring Weekend is looking pretty good right now,” wrote @SCH (an editor at The Ram).
“Don’t know much about music but pretty sure Fordham dropped the ball once again on this year’s muscial choices for Spring Weekend,” @WhattT_The_Flip wrote.
“JUDIAH FRIEDLANDER FROM 30 ROCK IS COMING TO FORDHAM FOR SPRING WEEKEND I JUST HAD TO STIFLE MY SCREAMS IN CLASS,” wrote @lyssfulthin.
The Ram reported early Monday morning that Cartel would be performing after a student contacted the group via Twitter. CAB declined to reveal any information about Spring Weekend guests until its announcement came Monday afternoon.
Spring Weekend guests were unveiled earlier last year. It is unclear what caused this year’s delay.
