Snow Forces Campuses to Open Late Wednesday

Amid heavy snowfall, Fordham’s Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses will open beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, school officials announced Tuesday night. The Westchester campus will be open for classes beginning at 4 p.m.

Ram Van service between Rose Hill and Lincoln Center will resume at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.Between 10 and 14 inches of snow are expected to fall in New York City tonight.

A winter storm warning is in effect until Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. Snow, which will be very heavy at times, and heavy winds are expected to continue before 4 a.m. tonight. The low will be around 10, but the wind chill will make it feel colder. The chance of precipitation tonight is 100 percent, according to the National Weather Service.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued a State of Emergency for New York, Bronx, Queens, Westchester, Rockland, Suffolk, Nassau and Richmond counties.
