I am so glad to see Fordham students rallying support for the Sodexo food employees that will be impacted by the change to a new food provider. So often today, American companies place greater value on profits over people, so I am happy to see that Fordham Students United (FSU) is calling on everyone to make sure that these workers are treated fairly. It is important that we guarantee they can continue to provide for themselves and their families. This is the Jesuit ideal of “Men and Women for Others” in action. I commend this group for bringing this issue to the forefront of people’s minds.
