As our world progresses with succinctly more complex and difficult challenges, I believe it’s of great benefit to examine interdisciplinary thing, and apply this to learning/teaching models.
Suppose I had the fortunate of being interested in mathematics at an early age and even to the current times. People are largely visual thinkers, so pictures can definitely help greatly to tell the story. Even Richard Feynman created the diagrams used in quantum field theory to illustrate the physical processes of interactions.
I am teaching 6th grade math this fall and VERY interested in what we could do. We are a small Christian school of 38 years. I think my class for next year will be 10 students.
