4 Timeless Design Ideas to Elevate Your Entertainment Unit
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Reddit

When it comes to designing the living room, people tend to overlook the entertainment unit. Even though the unit is bought for practical purposes, it adds a complete touch to your interior decor. Whether you locate the entertainment unit in a dedicated media room or as part of the main living area, it enhances the overall aesthetics of any room. But with so many TV units available online or in furniture stores, it can be hard to figure out how to style a unit that suits your living room. The tips below will help you make your movie and gaming centre more beautiful, organised, and seamless with the rest of your decor.

Mount Your TV on the Wall

No matter if you’re setting up your TV in the bedroom or the living room, integrating it seamlessly into the room’s decor, is crucial for a harmonious and visually pleasing space. Wall-mounting the TV rather than placing it on an entertainment unit offers a fantastic way to achieve this harmony. This approach not only enhances your TV’s position for optimum viewing but also liberates valuable space from cords and cables. Before you proceed to mount your TV on the wall, there are some crucial factors to consider. Firstly, you need to assess the location where you plan to mount the TV and think about the optimal viewing angle. Ensure that everyone can comfortably view the screen without straining their necks or eyes. Next, don’t overlook the accessibility of power outlets in the chosen location. You wouldn’t want to place your TV in a spot where reaching a power source becomes inconvenient or requires unsightly extensions.

Conceal it with Wall Colour

When you have successfully mounted your TV on the wall, it presents an opportunity to creatively elevate your interior aesthetics. One option is to embrace subtlety by painting the wall behind the TV a darker shade. This allows the TV to blend gracefully with the surroundings, reducing its visual prominence when not in use. On the other hand, if you wish to make a statement and add a touch of luxury to your entertainment area, consider contrasting the TV’s darkness with a soft and soothing colour like sage green.

Infuse Personality with Decorative Items

By showcasing decorative items on the entertainment unit, you create an inviting and personalised space that reflects your unique style and taste. Introduce captivating vases with artisanal craftsmanship, lush green plants that breathe life into the room, and photo frames capturing cherished memories. Consider adding a table lamp and chunky candlesticks or candle holders to enhance your display.

Cultivate a Symmetrical Aesthetic

Achieve an aesthetic statement in your space by embracing the allure of symmetry. Elevate your living space with an artful wall decor arrangement or by tastefully positioning bookcases on either side of your TV, instilling a positive culture and commanding visual impact. Delicately balance this tone with well-curated vignettes of precisely stacked books and exquisite floral arrangements, thus imbuing the area with a sense of grace and refinement.

Final Thought

When selecting visually pleasing decorations for your TV stand, it’s essential to consider the existing arrangement and flow of the background wall. To achieve the best decor design for your entertainment unit, keep the entertainment unit elegant and hide those messy cables to make your space look clean and organised. Carefully choose the decorative items you place on the TV stand. Select a few meaningful and well-coordinated pieces rather than overcrowding the room with numerous objects.

Their entertainment units are awesome. I personally liked their Verdelho unit. There is another company in WA that sells some entertainment units too. Their name is Elegant Interior and their website is elegantinterior.com.au

I liked them too, but the furniture gallery is good too.
