Two Rams On All-Rookie Team
The Fordham women’s soccer team saw two of its freshmen receive high first-year honors as Danielle Etienne and Kristen Cocozza were both named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team, the conference announced last Thursday. They are the Rams’ first representatives on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie squad since 2016 when Margaret Roughley was given the honor. This is additionally just the second time that the honors were given to two Fordham players in the same season since Sarah Hopkins and Holly Laubinger were given such in 2016. Etienne and Cocozza both had standout seasons, with Etienne contributing to four shutouts and Cocozza appearing in all 20 matchups.

Wilson Is Swimmer of the Week
This week, the Fordham Men’s swimming & diving squad earned its third weekly award of the season as junior Patrick Wilson was named Performer of the Week at the Atlantic 10 conference’s awards on Tuesday. It is the first weekly award of the season for Wilson, who this week competed for the Rams at Georgetown and won the 200 breaststroke in a season-best time of 2:07.02. He also took second in the 100 breastroke with a finishing time of 57.63 seconds, another season-best for him. His other second place times were in the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Greenhagen Wins Again
While Fordham Football may have fallen again this week, this time to Colgate on the road 24–13, the sophomore linebacker Ryan Greenhagen was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after he recorded a career-high 19 tackles in the game, including one for loss. This is the fourth weekly honor of the season for Greenhagen, as he held the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week honors for three weeks straight earlier in the year. Greenhagen now has 110 total tackles in 2019, including 72 solo and 14.5 for loss. He also leads the Patriot League in solo tackles per game with 7.2.

O’Mara Wins Another Honor
Fordham Water Polo’s sophomore goalie Bailey O’Mara was this week’s recipient of the CWPA’s Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference weekly award for Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. This is O’Mara’s fourth weekly honor of 2019, and he earned it with four outstanding performances, recording 65 saves, nine steals and two penalty blocks in games against Iona, #19 George Washington, Navy and Johns Hopkins. O’Mara had a career-high 18 saves on Saturday and then went on to break that record the very next day with 21 saves.
